The National ICT R&D Fund, launched in 2007, supports collaborative projects between industry and academia. Funded by telecom revenues, it plays a crucial role in driving innovation across Pakistan’s ICT landscape. Our Successful Projects

PMNISP 2014

Prime Minister’s National ICT Scholarship Program 2014
PMNISP 2014 reached over 9,000 candidates through comprehensive training manuals designed to prepare them for ICT aptitude tests. Additionally, the program successfully trained 1,200 faculty members, equipping them with the tools and strategies needed to guide students effectively. This large-scale initiative significantly enhanced ICT education in Pakistan, opening new academic and professional opportunities for underserved communities.

POW 2014

Principals Orientation Workshop 2014
The POW 2014 initiative trained 200 school principals in modern ICT leadership and management practices. This workshop helped align educational institutions with national technology goals, promoting a culture of digital literacy from the top down. By empowering principals with the skills to implement ICT strategies, the program played a pivotal role in uplifting the overall standard of education across the country.

FTP 2013

Foundation Training Program 2013
FTP 2013 assessed over 8,500 candidates at 200 testing centers nationwide, creating awareness about ICT and its career potential. The program emphasized the importance of foundational knowledge in technology, providing a stepping stone for further learning and development. By targeting a wide geographic spread, it ensured that even remote areas had access to ICT opportunities and support.

TTP 2013

Training of Teacher Program 2013
TTP 2013 trained 600 teachers using structured manuals and hands-on teaching kits tailored for ICT education. Among them, 50 participants from Punjab were specially selected to lead quality improvement initiatives in their regions. This program not only enhanced teaching standards but also contributed to improved student learning outcomes and overall preparedness for digital advancement.

PMNISP 2007-08

Prime Minister’s National ICT Scholarship Program 2007-2008
The 2007–08 edition of PMNISP marked the early foundation of ICT scholarship programs in Pakistan. By identifying and supporting talented students from underserved regions, it laid the groundwork for future initiatives in technology education.
