Established in 2012, the Education Fund for Sindh (EFS) addresses one of Pakistan’s most pressing challenges—the education crisis among out-of-school children. Focused specifically on the Sindh province, EFS works to enroll underserved children into primary education programs by partnering with local organizations and schools. Its mission is to ensure that every child, regardless of socio-economic background, has the opportunity to learn.
NEEF supports EFS by designing and implementing reliable assessment systems to monitor the effectiveness of its initiatives. From creating customized tools to evaluating learning outcomes, NEEF plays a key role in ensuring transparency and quality. Development of Early Grade Assessment System 2015–16
The EGAS 2015–16 project established a robust system for evaluating students sponsored under EFS programs. NEEF developed and implemented tracking mechanisms that measured learning progress in partner schools, especially in early grades. This system helped identify gaps in foundational learning and guided efforts to improve educational quality across participating institutions.
